Artist Residencies

2022   Moreton Bay Regional Galleries Artist Residency, February to July. Selected for the Vault Creative Studios, Caboolture Creative Hub Artist Studio Residency Program. Community engagement project and Regional Gallery exhibition.

2021   Series of In-studio Artist Residencies (COVID period). Series of four, 30-day periods of focused work including: In depth reading, concept building, glaze experimentation and journal article writing. In between these “at home” residencies, ceramic and visual artworks were produced and documented via a creative journal.

2019   Artist Residency, Wharepuke, Kerikeri, Bay of Islands, Northland, New Zealand, July – August.

Self-guided and independent artistic exploration, writing and research.

  • Self-guided exploration of central Melbourne’s artistic culture and architectural heritage.
  • Networking with artist mentors and ceramic artists from the Victorian region.
  • Engaged with local art galleries, museums, and cultural events.
  • Gained insights and inspiration from mentorship and collaborations.
  • Explored the intersections of art, architecture, and urban landscapes.
  • Deepened understanding of ceramic art within the Victorian art scene.
  • Created ceramic artworks inspired by the city’s artistic energy and aesthetics and researched architectural ceramic concept.

Research & Community Engagement 

2023   “Metaphor & Storytelling in Environmental Art,” Environmental Communication Symposium, James Cook University, location, symposium dates 2023.

2021- 2024   Ongoing ceramic arts & creativity workshops with Moreton Bay Regional Libraries and Caboolture Regional Gallery.

2021–2024    Facilitation of a series of ceramic hand-building and wheel-throwing workshops to community groups in Caboolture, Deception Bay, and Burpengary regions.
